I wanted to love this book, I love everything about Paksworld, but this book just felt like a filler, something put out to keep the fans happy. And it really doesn't. Nothing happens, and I'm afraid that although I finished the book, I wasn't invested in the characters at all. Everyone was living happily ever after and there was just... This one seemed to have less issues hanging, and more that are just continuing on from previous.(view spoiler)[In the South, the ovbiously evil Alured/Vaskronin. And now some possible tie-in with the evil men who enslaved Kieri as a child. Andressat's stuckup son is under threat of torture.Also, Stammel once again seems to have closure... This definitely feels like a "bridge" book into Crown of Renewal. Some things are really, really rushed and summarized, particularly in the second half of the book. Prince Camwyn, Arcolin, and Arvid are big players in this one, as is Kieri; Dorrin's around but less prominent. I would have liked to see more of Arcolin's courtship for...
