I'm a huge fan of Pepper Winters. Her dark romances with very flawed and broken heroes are my favorites. I was very excited to read Crown Of Lies because of its very intriguing synopsis and of course the dark and mysterious Penn Everett.I have to be honest and say, that I wasn't feeling the first half of story and the pace was too slow.... ARC provided to me by author Pepper Winters in exchange for an honest review!!!So much to say and so little time . i was pretty intrigued right off the bat with how this book plays out. from the beginning i was a bit hesitant because i wasn't used to Pepper using a different writing style for me. But i think overall the story itself... I think the only reason I'm eager to read the next book is to find out for sure where/who is hoodie guyOther than that, this was an okay read for me.
