I liked the start - washed-up army vet gets to go back to when he was 12 and relive his life with the hard-earned knowledge of 40+ hard years. I like that he's kinder to his cousin, starts to exercise and eat right, protects his sister more etc. But it's written in little story arcs (it's massive)that get progressively more silly, till... I do not easily give 5 stars to the books I read, but I really enjoyed this one. I've read it for the first time few years ago, and now I'm reading it again to make sure my rating is correct - and so far it's as good as I'm remembering it. I highly recommend it to everyone.
